Solyt specializes in architectural photovoltaic solutions. Leveraging Phomi’s proprietary technology, the company develops innovative materials that replicate the appearance of stone, wood, and brick while combining design, durability, and energy performance to transform architectural surfaces into active energy-generating elements. Designed for the North American market, Solyt embraces a contemporary approach where technology and aesthetics coexist seamlessly.

Objective

The mandate consisted of creating a new digital presence to support Solyt’s launch across the Canadian and American markets. The goal was to develop a credible, modern, and scalable platform capable of presenting highly technical products in a clear, inspiring, and accessible way. The website also needed to consolidate a large range of finishes, textures, and surface options in order to simplify product discovery while encouraging users to contact the team or download the product catalog.

Visual identity

Although the Solyt logo was provided by the client, our team developed a stronger and more cohesive digital identity. A creative exploration was conducted around typography, proportions, textures, and art direction to better reflect the architectural quality of the products. The result is a clean, contemporary, and confident visual language. Large immersive visuals, restrained layouts, and a minimalist approach place the products at the center of the experience while highlighting the richness of their finishes.

Information architecture

One of the project’s primary challenges was organizing a large volume of product variations and surface options. The site architecture was designed to allow users to navigate intuitively between collections, textures, and finishes without creating a heavy or overwhelming experience. Particular attention was paid to consolidating content in order to simplify comparisons and make the products easier to understand for a North American audience.

User experience (UX)

The user experience was designed to support product discovery while encouraging conversion. Each product page clearly presents available finishes, possible applications, and visual references that help users project the materials into real architectural environments. User journeys were optimized to support key conversion actions, including contact requests, inquiries, and catalog downloads.

Interface design (UI)

The website design directly reflects the qualities of Solyt’s products: modernity, precision, elegance, and innovation. Neutral palettes, subtle contrasts, and spacious compositions allow the materials and textures to stand out naturally without overwhelming the interface. The visual approach also helped reposition the products for the North American market through a more premium, architectural, and professional presentation.

Technological development

Built on WordPress, the website relies on a flexible structure that allows the Solyt team to manage content autonomously. A first phase was delivered rapidly to support the brand launch and its presence at a strategic industry event. The platform was also designed to evolve with future additions, including the full integration of the French version.

Training and autonomy

Following the launch, the Solyt team quickly took ownership of the administration platform and significantly expanded the site’s content. The flexibility of the templates and the simplicity of the backend now allow the company to evolve its digital presence independently.
