Anti-Troll Kit

Goal
The main objective was to detach the Anti-Troll Kit from the City of Trois-Rivières platform in order to create a neutral site, with no allegiance to any specific police force or entity. This transition was intended to reinforce the perception of an impartial and accessible tool, while maintaining ownership of the site by the Trois-Rivières Police Department. The new site was also to include an English-language version, broadening its scope and accessibility.

Visual identity
The redesign of Anti-Troll Kit’s visual identity aims to convey a message that is both serious and accessible. The new logo, with its bold, assertive typography, reflects the seriousness of the subject of bullying, while incorporating a playful touch thanks to the ears attached to the letter ‘O’ in Troll. This subtle blend reinforces the initiative’s caring and engaging approach, echoing its mission to prevent bullying among young people.

Artistic direction
The new website adopts an immersive and creative artistic direction, designed for its target audiences: young people aged 8 to 11 and those aged 12 to 17. The videos associated with the platform benefit from a meticulous image that is in line with the overall visual identity. This artistic consistency ensures a harmonious and captivating experience across all communication media. It also reinforces the impact and accessibility of the message.

Video creation
Kryzalid designed the scripts based on material developed by the client. To embody these messages, we called on Agence Marie Deslongchamps to select young talent who brought authenticity and dynamism to the productions. Director Sacha Bourque has created a carefully staged, age-appropriate production. The videos aim to inform in an engaging way while offering practical advice.
Secondary target audiences
The site is designed to meet the specific needs of various target audiences. In addition to the main sections dedicated to young people, it offers a rich range of resources for parents, to support them in the care and well-being of their children. Practical tools are also available for school staff to help them in their support and awareness-raising role.

Key feature
The warning link is an effective tool for young people to set a limit in the face of inappropriate behaviour online. By sharing this link in a conversation, they send a clear message to the bully that his or her actions must stop. The warning posted is intended to dissuade the bully from continuing. It also emphasises that more serious action could be taken if the bully persists.

Result
The site stands out for its clear, intuitive organisation, enabling users to navigate easily between sections. Quick access to the warning link reinforces its practical and accessible role. Visually, the site combines dynamism and seriousness, creating a perfect balance between commitment and professionalism. Built with WordPress, it’s easy for in-house teams to get to grips with. The WPML module facilitates bilingual management, ensuring an inclusive scope.
